What Proseidon is

Proseidon is a writing app, available as a desktop application and as a web app at app.proseidon.io. The core app is free to use. Optional cloud features (backup, sync, and in the future, collaboration) run through a free account, with paid tiers possible later for heavier use.

Your writing is yours

Everything you write in Proseidon belongs to you. We claim no rights over your content. When you enable sync, you grant us only the permission needed to store and transmit that content to your own devices — nothing more. We never use your writing to train AI, and never will.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your account credentials to yourself.
• Don't use the sync service to store or distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, or to attack the service itself.
• Local-first cuts both ways: work that only lives on one device or one browser is in your care. The app tells you when something isn't backed up — take those warnings seriously.

The service, honestly

Proseidon is under active development. We work hard on data safety — it is the thing we care most about — but the service is provided as is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for losses arising from its use. Export your work regularly; the app makes that easy and always will.

Accounts

You can stop using Proseidon at any time; your local copies remain on your devices. You can ask us to delete your account and synced data (deep@proseidon.io). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, and we'll say why.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will announce it on this page and, for account holders, by email. Continuing to use the cloud features after a change means you accept the new terms.
